Update

Things have been a bit quiet around The Unfixed lately, but rest assured we’ve been using the time to plot interesting things. And from the intriguing hints we’ve heard from some of you, there are impressive submissions in the works!

We hope to be able to make some exciting announcements soon, so keep an eye on our Twitter and Facebook for details.

Who we are

The Unfixed is a brand new webzine dedicated to expanding on the potential of poetry and fiction by mixing video and audio with text. While the written word is amazing on its own, we’re interested in exploring the possibilities that open up through things like live performance and visual interpretation. We want to take that feeling of peering into the author’s brain that you get when listening to a live performance and add it to the reading experience.

What we want

We’re looking for original poetry and prose. Short films of short stories, puppet shows of poetry – we want work that adds another dimension to the written word, so be creative and send us things we don’t expect! A video submission could be the aforementioned short film, a reading at a performance night, a reading from your sofa, anything that gives us another view of the text. We do accept some text only submissions, and you can add an audio recording for some extra excitement.
